A great high end product as your always in CCTV solution
This is a premium product. The quality is top notch. Installing it using the Ring app is so easy. The quality of the picture is the best I have seen for a CCTV system. And the best thing about this is all the video is stored in the cloud so there is nothing an intruder can do. You can even set off a siren if you feel threatend. Can you believe that! You can do live monitoring as well aa feel secure in getting video alerts on your mobile wherever you are as if you are still at home. This is an empowering always at home solution that competes with the best wired CCTV solutions. I am so pleased with this I have just ordered another two cameras!

As Always A Good Quality Outdoor Camera That Provides Confidence
These camera are perfect for home use to boost a cctv system.Easy portable, simple to connect to the main application’s phone menu and once installed, works right away.The unit is well protected for outside use.Sound quality when receiving or sending voices is quite good and the picture quality is excellent.Motion detection is easily configured on the app and the device allows to set multiple zones in the same area.Animal detection can be reduced as well as allowing it to provide ‘package delivery’ notifications after it detects the presence of persons.The camera is a little more expensive than most but you get what you pay for.One gripe only would be that you need to buy a ‘plan’ yearly if you want to save footage from the camera.

Image better, functionality is not,
Compared to the previous generation the quality is better and the lens has a wider angle, night vision is better. I like the option of continuously recording. When zooming in on a recording the image is still very pixelated, no better. The camera does not appear on the dashboard as that is not supported. The ai smart descriptions notifications are terrible, I turned off after a couple of days. For example I was alarmed to hear that “someone is crouching behind the bush” when in fact a car drove past, “a person is walking on the gravel” was a car passing, “there is someone walking on the gravel holding a dustpan and brush” was the postman carrying a box, “there is a child on your driveway” was a dog and Several false alarms where nothing happened.

These cameras are absolutely brilliant. I have the 1080 version and I’ve now got 3 of these outdoors. I use these to keep an eye on the garden hedgehogs.🦔 the night vision is second to none. Picks up all motion – hint you need to turn smart features off and motion sensitivity to the highest setting if using them for this purpose.I know so many people also using them for this purpose.The battery life is brilliant. There’s a lot of activity in my garden each night and with garden birds during the day and they only need changing every 8/9 days.I bought some solar panels, which again work very well. I have one connected full time on a mounting pole. The others need to wait until I have time to affix them, but for my purposes it’s not desperate.They’re very good value for for money, I love that you can get them in black, they look sleek.Set up is incredibly easy, I already had a ring set up, so took seconds to add the cameras and after a few minutes of downloading updates, they were ready to go.Their ability to find the WiFi even all the way round my garden and some distance away from the house is fabulous. Better than my iPhone sometimes!I cannot fault them and I recommend them to anyone wanting them for security or to do some wildlife stalking in the gardens. Much better than the equivalent price wildlife camera I tried. Plus you can see what’s going on all the time, be notified when there’s motion, look back at footage etc.Highly recommend 🙂

Big upgrade from original spotlight battery camera.
Excellent camera, massive upgrade from the original ring spotlight camera, quality is much better, night vision is much improved.Easy to install with the fixings that come supplied with the camera.Camera is at bottom of the garden with low wifi signal but functions flawlessly.USB C power cable that comes supplied is very long so easy to install where you need it.Would highly recommend, big upgrade.Only downside is the colour night vision is a bit of a gimmick.

Sebbene sia abbastanza chiara e nitida per la maggior parte delle situazioni, in condizioni di bassa luce, la definizione non è altissima. Non è un grosso problema, ma potrebbe essere migliorata rispetto a ciò che offre la concorrenza. La visione notturna è comunque molto funzionale e abbastanza chiara per riconoscere movimenti e persone, ma non ha la stessa definizione diurna.L’integrazione con l’app Ring è eccellente: ricevo notifiche in tempo reale ogni volta che viene rilevato un movimento e posso visualizzare immediatamente ciò che sta accadendo. È una sicurezza in più che mi fa sentire tranquillo a casa.In sintesi, la Ring Outdoor Camera Plus è un’ottima videocamera di sicurezza, comoda, facile da usare e con una durata della batteria impressionante. I received this camera on July 10th, and honestly, I’m very disappointed. Since I bought it, I’ve already had to charge the battery twice, and now it’s down to 20% again — which means another recharge is coming soon. I’m using the recommended battery settings, my street isn’t overly busy (just a normal European street), yet the battery life barely lasts a month.Another huge downside: the camera comes with a USB-A charger instead of USB-C. In 2025, who still uses USB-A? Not only does this feel outdated, but it also means no fast charging. Recharging takes a long time, which basically leaves you without the camera for nearly a whole day each month. Very frustrating for a security device.Yes, there’s apparently a plug-in option, but that means I now have to buy a long USB-A cable and probably drill a hole through the wall — something I wasn’t planning on.On the positive side, the video quality is decent, and it handles low light fairly well. But that’s about it. Customer support has also been a nightmare to deal with — very unhelpful and slow.Overall, I would not buy this camera again or recommend it. The poor battery performance, outdated charging system, and bad customer service outweigh the image quality.

Vor wenigen Tagen habe ich zugeschlagen und mir zwei dieser „Ring Outdoor Camera Plus (Akku)“ bestellt. Mein Ziel: Garten und Garage zuverlässig absichern und im Blick haben.Ich hatte kurz davor bereits eine Ring Türklingel gekauft welche meine Aqara G4 ersetzt hat und war sehr begeistert. Vor allem von der Ring-App, der Haptik und der hochwertigen Verarbeitung. Deshalb war für mich klar: Meine bisherigen (chinesischen) Eufy-Kameras möchte ich ebenfalls austauschen.Warum? Vielleicht für den ein oder anderen auch interessant: Mir war früher wichtig, dass meine Kameras (und die Türklingel etc.) HomeKit-kompatibel sind, weil ich alles in der Apple Home-App zentral steuern wollte. Davon bin ich jetzt aber endgültig weg und ehrlich gesagt, frage ich mich, warum ich so lange daran festgehalten habe. Die Ring-App ist einfach viel besser: durchdacht, zuverlässig und benutzerfreundlich.Gerade durch die neue Türklingel habe ich gemerkt, wie stark der Unterschied ist:– Die Videoqualität bei Ring ist deutlich besser (2K – HomeKit regelt immer auf Full-HD runter!),– Die Push-Benachrichtigungen bei Ring sind sofort da,– Bewegungserkennung funktioniert klasse,– Und die Blickwinkel und generell die Bildqualität sind top – viel besser als bei den bislang genutzten China-Lösungen (Eufy, Aqara…).Auch die Kamera selbst ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Ich finden z.B. den Mechanismus zum Akkuwechseln echt toll gelöst und es fühlt sich einfach „wertig“ an.Ich habe die Kameras jetzt seit ein paar Tagen im Einsatz – auch bei Nacht (Garage): Die Nachtsicht ist super, das Bild glasklar. Ich sehe meinen kompletten Garten, und das gibt einfach ein sicheres Gefühl.Mit dem Abo-Modell habe ich ebenfalls kein Problem und es auf jahresbasis für 100,00 EUR abgeschlossen – für mich völlig okay! Für guten Service, eine gute App und den Cloud-Speicher bezahle ich gerne ein paar Euro. Dafür läuft es einfach Rund. Dieser „Peace of Mind“ ist mir mittlerweile viel wichtiger als alles andere!Übrigens: Ich hatte die Kameras zuerst ohne Solarmodul bestellt, habe dann aber doch noch welche nachbestellt. Bisher bin ich aber nicht sicher, ob ich es überhaupt brauche. In den paar Tagen Betrieb ist der Akku vielleicht um 1 % gesunken obwohl ich gerade in der Anfangszeit ständig reinschaue und „rumprobiere“. Das spricht für eine extrem gute Laufzeit. Wenn das so bleibt, würde ich damit locker Monate hinkommen und kann auf die Solarmodule gut verzichten.Unterm Strich:Ich bin überaus zufrieden. Besserer Akku, bessere Bildqualität, bessere App, besserer Blickwinkel – Ring schlägt Eufy und HomeKit bei mir in allen Kategorien. Auch der Lautsprecher und das Mikro sind qualitativ top.Fazit für alle Apple-Fans da draußen (und davon kenne ich einige 😉):Erweitert euren Horizont. Ich war selbst tief drin in der HomeKit-Welt mit Siri und HomePods… es musste alles in der „Home-App“ gehen. Aber es ist einfach oft schlechter als andere Lösungen. Unzuverlässig, schlechtere Qualität usw. Und von Siri ganz zu schweigen. Apple hätte viele Jahre nun schin nachbessern können. Daher tausche ich gerade auch HomePods und mein anderes Zeugs gegen Amazon Echos aus. Die laufen mit den Ring-Kameras super! Man hat eine kleine Vorschau auf den Displays und sie reagieren super schnell. Das ist wirklich Smart Home für mich!Für mich war der Wechsel ein absoluter Gewinn. 👍🏼
