Brilliant upgrade from Echo Show 10
I have owned an Echo Show 10 for over a year, have been very happy with the functionality, I have had no issues and so was excited to see the new Show 11 being released this year.In preparation of making the new purchase I traded in a old Echo speaker a few weeks ago, which was a painless experience, as I received my credit and 20% discount confirmation within a few days of sending my old speaker back, so I was good to go once the Black Friday sales were live and could press the buy button.Upon the purchase (the 20% discount is automatically deducted) from the Echo 11, and I linked my Amazon account to this device, which makes life a lot easier upon set up. The device is beautifully packaged, very Apple, and my gosh, this a stunning looking device. Sleek, slim, modern, with small touches like the power lead, which looks almost identical to the mesh covering on the speaker…very classy. After plugging in, a new software update and a few set up steps later I was up and running, which was literally a few minutes. Connection to my Wi Fi was instantaneous. I use my Show for mainly listening to the radio, streaming music from IPad, checking the weather, alarms, clock etc and as the device is situated in the kitchen/lounge don’t really have a need to use any Apps. The screen, as mentioned earlier, is very, very sleek, with vibrant colours, clear and sharp, and with the small bezel, particularly when compared to the Echo Show 10, the 11 looks smart and contemporary. I like things to look the part, and the Show 11 certainly does that, in spades full. The screen is very responsive, accurate, swift and I have had no issues to date, and the sound is equally impressive, being crisp, has depth, deep bass and great clarity, which again is a step up from the Echo 10 (which was good).Interestingly the total footprint of the 11 is less than the 10, even though the 11 has a bigger screen, and I have also added the optional swivel stand as well, which is a must buy in my opinion. The optional stand again looks great, fits perfectly and gives the ability to move the screen to exactly the angle you desire. Yes it is too expensive, and should be included with the Echo 11, but I bit the bullet and I am very pleased that I did.In summary this is a brilliant upgrade from the Echo 10, which in itself is very good, it looks and performs fantastically well, and I am rest assured that any issues will be ironed out by Amazon in due course, new updates issued and I am absolutely delighted.I do hope that you have found this review helpful.

    Touchscreen, Acknowledgement, Photos
Like many others on here, I’m finding the touch screen just doesn’t respond a lot of the time. The sound quality is reasonable. Even when the touch-screen stops responding to touch, it will respond to voice commands.I’m a bit annoyed there’s no onscreen acknowledgement of who is looking at it, even with visual ID set up on it. Compared to previous generation Shows which show “Good [Time Period of Day] [Profile Name]” when you look at the screen.Further more. If you enter the Amazon Photos app on the device, you can choose how your images will fit (Crop, Stretch, Fill etc) to the screen. But if you have photos set to cycle through on the home page, there’s no options for how the image fits, often resulting in pieces cropped off. Worse than that, so far, it fails to respect ‘Hidden’ images, and shows the lot. Not great if you have images you want to keep private from guests within your home.I’m hoping firmware might fix touch screen responsiveness..and I’m hoping software might fix how Amazon Photos settings work..but for now, Give this Echo Show 11 a wide miss, it’s simply not worth it.

    Best screen device by far
This is honestly a pretty decent Alexa device, I upgraded from an old echo dot so it didn’t have to do much to shine.I had recently used a home hub, but it was truly awful. So slow to react to touch, glitchy, stalled and generally frustrating to use. This new echo is miles ahead. It’s sleek, responds to touch and voice immediately, sounds incredible and looks nice too.I am very impressed with the sound quality, alike to a high end stereo, maybe too much for a kitchen or small space. I was torn between this and an echo show picture frame but I thought the sound on this would trump that of a thin display, and early indications would seem to prove me correct. The Home Screen is easily configured to your desired layout, and the ability to link it before shipping means all your data is setup ready for use. On power up it had all my calendar and appointments loaded.I wouldn’t think too much about this, coupled with a 20% off voucher for sending my 5yr old dot back made it £160! Bargain.

    Echo 11
I have 3 Tapo cameras and 3 Tapo lights linked to this Echo 11. It has been slow on oaccasions to show a camera, I’m hoping further updates will fix this. Has apps including Prime and Netflix. I got this over 8″ version as wanted a bigger screen size to view cameras. I can view one or all 3 of of my cameras af same time. The item feels solid and of good quality. Very easy to set up. I have existing Amazon account and it recognised this. Found uploading photos bit messy, as I had to save them to Amazon account first, but once done the device works as a digital photoframe and changes the photos when not in use. Pleased with the sound and the built in camera is very clear. I will look to purchase a tilting stand sk J can change degree of camera view when needed but that’s the only reason but will wait until they get reduced as currently £35 which is alot for anothet stand.Update: response time lagging and not able to view camera happening too often so returned for refund. Got Echo 15 instead which is so much better in all respects and only extra £50

Very classy and elegant! Pretty fast processor, the doorbell camera and all that connect perfectly. The only downside I would have currently is that the screen is stuck on the speaker and damn you wish you could adjust it up and down, right and left. Otherwise love it!
