Beware low light colour issues
Really looked forward to receiving this camera to replace my 360 degree pan & tilt unit with its higher resolution and outstanding low light imagery. That was until I found the low light colour (which when working was awesome), would revert to poor quality black and white video, that even when lighting was increased (when either the PIR lamp, or other main light illuminated) remained low res’ black and white. The only way to get low light colour back was through powering off / reboot. That would rectify the issue temporarily, but after recording a few with the awesome low light colour, the thng reverted again to the other rubbish as detailed above.Disappointed and frustrated would be an understatement. It’s going back within 24hrs of its release to us, the buyers. In the hope that this issue is intermittent with this particular camera, I have ordered another for delivery tomorrow. Here’s hoping 🙏I have added two screenshots that show the difference in picture even though they are the exact same shot, with the exact same lighting within a few minutes of each other. Night and day! No pun actually intended.LATEST UPDATEThe new (second) camera arrived and was fully set up. After a lot of trialling I eventually found out that if the lighting was low, but certainly adequate to give a good low lighted image (as shown in the colour image above), it would record an effective low light colour video. However, if said lighting reduced when PIR light timed out, the camera reverts to a black and white low res’ mode, as one would reasonably expect. That would be fine, if when the light came back on to the same illumination that was acceptable before, the firmware will not restart the low light colour mode again automatically,a reboot is necessary.I never had an issue with the 360 pan tilt camera, light came on, video recorded in colour automatically.Further UpdateI changed out the previous PIR triggered light for a twin LED PIR triggered lamp.Success!Lights illuminated and now there’s more light than previous, the camera picks up on that and gives good quality colour imagery.Thank goodness for the resolution. The new camera plus is now pretty awesome 😍

Ring camera the best money can buy with excellent picture quality.
This Ring camera is excellent. I was lucky to get it on promotion. I recently purchased a Ring doorbell and this took care of the front of my house but needed something for the rear. Saw this on promotion and ordered it. When it arrived I found it very easy to link it up with my app. You simply open the Ring app, go to devices and ask to add a camera. First make sure that the camera is plugged in and powered. It is that simple. I can view both my front via the doorbell and the rear from my attic room, all at a very reasonable price. I have also signed up to the Ring subscription and the viewing and replay is really excellent. Overall the quality of the camera is excellent and it was very easy to set up.

Overpriced but does work well
I would rate it higher if it wasn’t so over priced and the speaker so quiet when using siren feature, voice is fine. The video is better than 1080p but due to the lense or maybe firmware or codec? It is a softer image Vs their 1080p camera at distance.I am happy to have it though as it did work better for my use case than the lower resolution model.I have increased the score purely because trh Ring support team did reach out about this review.

Good quality image and works behind windows
Really good quality image and even works at night surprisingly well. The nighttime colour bit requires quite a lot of outside light but night vision is still good. Ours is behind a window and doesn’t even suffer from glare which previous cameras have (not sure how).

Not worth changing from 1080 to 2000 pixel camera
Thought I’d replace my 1080p ring camera with the higher quality one. Can actually say the quality is worse. Not sure if it’s the camera or my router which is 3 meters away or my router speed of about 40mbs, either way it’s not what I was hoping for. Blurred like it 240 pixel camera not 2000 pixel
